OVER THE AIR FORD MODULE PROGRAMMING / PARAMETER RESET
- FJDS - Parameter Reset
- FDRS - Parameter Reset
A parameter reset is a procedure that must be performed on a Ford vehicle after replacing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This is necessary for vehicles with a Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS), also known as Ford Securilock, which was introduced in 1996 and later Ford vehicles. Without a successful parameter reset, the vehicle will not start.
